Is this a good deal?....

Happened across a not so local bike shop this morning on my way to work. It wasn't open yet, but in the window they had a 2011 Trek Madone 3.1 in the sale. It was marked as £1600.00 rrp down to £1300.00.
Made note, and looked it up at work. Its 105 all around except the crankset with is apex and the cassette which I think is tiagra. Popped back in a lunchtime for a chat with the staff, and asked the cost of fitting a 105 crankset.
They said they would supply and fit for an extra ton. Assuming I'd get to keep the apex crank does that sound like a good deal?
Im at least 6 months away from affording the 5.2 madone which is what I really want. Second question is wait or spunk my money now?

Wait, get what you really want you know it makes sense......Keep the chain tight all the way.0

Wait . . .
You'll instantly regret it if you don't0 -
Is that Madone bb90? If so, an Apex crank doesn't use (or may not use as I'm not 100% sure) the same bb90 bearings as a 105 crankset, so you would need new bb90 bearings as well. Monty Dog is an expert on bb90/bb86 etc so he'll know for sure.0

Oh, and you can get those Madones for £1045 - just google search them.0

Been there and done it and my advice? Definitely wait. If you buy the lesser bike (albeit a very nice one) then once the novelty wears off you will wish you had waited for the 5.2, and you will already have spent the money you have saved. I heard an article on the radio today about deferred gratification: basically, the longer you wait for something the more you appreciate it. You know you don't really want to settle for second best. In six months time, it'll be the height of summer, imagine how you'll feel hitting the road for the first time on your dream bike then.Bianchi ImpulsoBMC Teammachine SLR02 01Trek Domane AL3“When I see an adult on a bicycle, I do not despair for the future of the human race. “ ~H.G. Get the bike you want. You ll only still lust after it later.
Cycle Sport in Lincoln had both bikes in before Xmas, The 3.1 Was down to 1300 and they had a 58cm 5.2 at £2100.
Dont know how that compares nationally, but both bikes were lovely but the 5.2 was obviously several leagues up.0
