Canyon help

I'm thinking about getting either a Canyon XC 6.0 (or 7.0 if I can swing it), or Boardman FS team.
Sat on the Team yesterday, and it felt pretty good. Nice bike, but there doesn't appear to be any lock out for the rear shock, so I'm a little worried about climbing and pedal bob.
Also, I have lower back trouble, and there seemed to be plenty of spacers under the stem on the boardman, and that meant the bars felt like they were at the right height for me.
My question is, does anyone know how many spacers there are on the Canyon? Looking at the pictures on the web, it doesn't look like there are any at all, and I'm a bit worried that'll mean the bars are too low for me.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Number of spacers matter very little. Some just have higher front ends, steeper stems and/or higher rise bars, the latter which you can tweak to you.0

Thats not really true. While all of the above contribute, spacers are the only thing you can adjust to move these things up or down without changing the reach. Therefore spacers are important.A Flock of Birds

That's not really true either! Your headtube would need to be dead virtical! Number of spacers depends on steerer length. Look at some of the newer bikes coming with integrated stems, sitting level with the top tube.0

Just went to check my gf's 2011 XC5, it has two spacers, one large one small, total rise about 15 mm.
To be honest, the stem is one of the easiest things to change, and changing without changing reach is trivial, so I would go for whichever bike you like better and modify if necessary.1994 Clark Kent F12; 2004 Mount Vision; 2011 Canyon AM 7, 2012 Canyon Torque FRX 6, a unicycle and a Brompton.0
