Cassette fitting advice - please

New Mavic SLs and new ultegra 10 speed cassette to be fitted, hub already had a relatively wide spacer supplied, so not sure if the initial narrower spacer supplied with the cassette also needs fitting, as seems strange to have 2 spacers next to each other. If one is surplus to requirements, which one is it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    The 2mm Mavic spacer is for SRAM and Shimano 9- and 10-speed cassettes on Mavic hubs. If you're running 9-speed on a Mavic hub, use only the Mavic spacer. If you're running 10-speed Shimano, use both.

    That will be both required in your case.

    Your welcome.
    Should you in future wish to fit a 10 spd SRAM cassette then you can safely discard the 1mm Shimano supplied spacer as it is not required.
