Sticky Piston - how to free up - Quad Hydrailic

Hi Guys, I have Quad QHD-1 Sting hydraulic disc brakes front and back. One of the pistons is sticking on the front, I know this coz when I took the pads out to see what was making the horrendous screehing noise, one of the pads was worn right down and the other was only down a little. Also when I squeeze the lever one comes out and the other barely moves.
Is there a quick and easy way of freeing up the sticky piston?
When I pumped the brake lever the free one came almost all the way and some of the fluid leaked out, so I'm gonna have to bleed/refill the resovoir anyway and I reckon I should free the piston at the same time. I couldn't get any purchase on the sticky piston as there's just like a mm or 2 sticking out, so how do I do it?
your advice is appreciated in advance, thanks. :D
um .. . . . .

    strip and clean.

cleaning the piston walls and working it in and out till free will also help for a while.

Clamp the free one to stop it moving.
