I got an FSA omega chainset second hand off the classifieds, after a bit more riding on it, the BB needs replacing.

What's got me is I don't know what to replace it with, it's the winter bike so not too bothered about level of it, but I am a bit confused about what to get.

the description of the chainset is this

Integrated MegaExo Ø19mm BB
• MegaExo oversize cartridge bearings
• MegaExo Steel cups

Can I just get a tiagra or 105 external or does it need to be specific in some way.

Any help would be gratefully recieved

FSA are a pain they colour code their BBs to show which works with which set of cranks.

The 19mm throws up issues as the shimano one are 24mm.

And people wonder why I keep away from FSA cranksets.

You need to get the FSA Omega BB4000 because all the other alternatives are designed for 24mm dia spindle e.g. Shimano Hollowtech.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Pants, that means the BB is going to cost me more than the crankset!

Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look at flea bay.
