Which aluminium frame/fork for 2nd bike?

After this winter, I am going to retire my Giant 980c Cadex frame, transfer the ancillaries to a new aluminium frame/fork, and in doing so create a new "2nd/winter" bike. Okay it'll have less character, but hopefully it will be a touch lighter and stiffer.

Bearing in mind I am looking for aluminium, clearance only for Crud MKIIs and budget of up to ~£500 what do you reckon my best options are?

Also, I'm not an expert when it comes to all the new bottom bracket types so it probably helps to let you know I will be using 2009 Veloce with an English thread UT crank and BB. That might not make any difference, but I don't know!

You could do worse than looking at kinesis. They do a training frame for around £200?

They're both lovely bikes and a lot cheaper than I imagined, having never shopped for a brand new alu frame. Seriously wetting my beak here!

You know I might just stop right here at the Dolan Preffisio - it's almost too good to be true at that price and considering what I'm looking for. Seatpost, collar, fork and headset included and the seat tube is the correct diameter for my existing Veloce front mech.

Does anyone have one of these? Any comments to add?
