hi, last time i tried to bleed my brakes, the hose attached to my syringe pinged of the caliper nipple, which resulted with me getting brake fluid flicked in my face. The hose is a bit flimsy which came with the bleed kit so would it be better if i bought stiffer tubing for the job? and also on you tube theres a hayes bleed video, the bloke users a olive over the top to secure would this work with shimano calipers?

    Be gentler with the syringe.

Try not to rotate the syringe when handling it because sometimes it can transmit the movement along the flexible hose and close off the bleed nipple.

Incidentally, bleeding Shimano brakes is best done using the gravity (ie Hope) method.
