Anywhere having a sale inc. Giant 2012 bikes?

I'm looking at a range of different bikes as potential first road bikes... and i've got no problems finding the cannondales, treks, specialized etc. on sale... ( at evans, wiggle etc.)


But i can't find anywhere having a good sale on Giant bikes!!??!


mainly interested in the 2012 Defy 1 or 2 (or 2011 TCR 1 and 0)

Most 2011 Giants are sold out, and 2012 stock is late arriving..

Seriously, you want a Giant 2012 bike on sale? You'll have to wait until August / September when they clear out the remnants of 2012 models to make way for 2013 - why discount popular models and sizes before the season?

I've just snapped up a allez for winter for myself, and couldn't fault them. Arrived in a couple of days.

ended up buying from the local Giant-store and negotiated a 10% discount.

I was tempted by the buyabike prices, but the guy in the Giant-store pointed out that buying online i wouldn't get the free first service, would have to pay for shipping etc.

So the 10% off instead of 20% off wasn't actually that much more expensive when everything is taken into account.

Just wish i was local to the Buyabike retail store so i could get 20% off and the LBS advantages!

Looks nice, I quite like the colours that giant do, especially with the blue/white. Hope you enjoy riding it. Just to point out though, the shipping was actually free on my Allez Elite from buyabike.
