I have a nice Chris King Headset to fit over the winter, looking at the baseplate it has a lip protruding from the underside as pictured in the link below, my carbon fork has a flat face that the baseplate will sit on. If I put the baseplate on it will stick up from the fork by about 1mm and won't be flush but I cant see that there is another option available. Have I got the wrong one?

The photo shows the top of the crown race. The tapered lip is to centralize the bearing. The crown race should be flat at the bottom and pressed flush on to the fork.
