Hi people,
I have a SLX crankset on a 2009 Trek Fuel EX8, And its time I changed the chainrings especially the middle and outer Rings. I have been eyeing up some Renthal Ones but i am unsure if these are compatabile with the SLX cranks and whether i can still keep the SLX inner chainring??
Any help or advice would be grateful
Thanks

usual answer is you need a BCD on the middle and outer rings of 104mm and the inner will be fine to keep as is if it's not worn.
Sometimes you need a slight file on the shoulder of the rings to make fit.0 -

Sorry. Bolt Circle Diameter. An imaginary circle through the middle of the chain ring bolts.0

Thanks for the response.
Just noticed the renthals seem to be for single ring setups??
Does anyone reccomend anything else for a middle and outer??

I like shimano ones, the ramps and pins just work. The reinforced XT middle I'm on atm has lasted really well, I'd go for that again when it's gone.0
