hay guys i have a 2012 kona operator in large and I'm after some suspension tips it has rock shox boxxer forks with extra firm springs and a fox van rc shock with 400lb spring i weigh 17.5 stone so probs around 18 with kit on, i ride lots of fast flowing trails and do lots of free ride with big jumps/drops now i know you can't have one spring rate for everything but just want a good starting point, the bike feels good with the stock setup on the drops and jumps its mainly the dh trails where it feels to firm and maybe not quick enough so what would you recommend?? again i just ride for fun and the love of riding not a pro by any means lol
thanks in advance

How much sag have you got?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I think I set it around 20-30% I will re measure it tomorrow0

If it is only 20-30% you can afford to run some more sag than that. Try around 40% but adjust to see what suits you.0

Ok it's set to 25% sag I will try a bit more what about spring rates??0

Spring rate is inversely proportional to sag - there are online calculators that will tell you what you need.0
