Guys,

How do you store your bikes??

I would really like to hang mine when not in use and was thinking of a vertical stand mounted to the garage wall.

Am just a bit worried this may damage the spokes/wheel??? Am i being over cautious??

Cheers guys!!

with normal rims it'll be fine, just don't whack the spokes on the hook when storing/removing the bike

I hang mine from the garage roof's wooden beams using big screw in hooks from Homebase, cheap too!

I reckon with a bit of thought you could knock up something like that yourself a hell of a lot cheaper.

Aye. No need to be expensive.

I just got 6 of the curved bike hooks from Halfords and drilled them into my garage wall -- think they were 5 quid a pair. The hooks were covered in that plasti-dip stuff which I didn't think too much of, so I wrapped a load of old inner tube around each hook to protect the rims. All in all, a very easy job.
After that I bolted in an anchor point under the bottom bracket of each of the "good" bikes and chained them up.

You probably want to stagger them like this

Plus you'd need to use the wooden rails like that if you're mounting on a stud wall.
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.
