Boardman replacement wheels after crash

I had an argument with a Renault at a T-junction last week while on a night ride. I'm riding a 2010 Boardman Road Comp ... I got off pretty lightly but the front wheel is a right-off. Ideally, I'd want to replace it like for like but I'm guessing that's a no go.
I was going to replace with a Cosmic Elite 2011 which is pretty similar looking but those lovely folks at Evans sent me a 2010 which I'm now having to send back - Which has caused me to reconsider just replacing the front wheel, I'm not sure I'll be happy with mismatched wheels(!).
I have an absolute top budget of £250 for a wheelset - firstly, is it worth spending that on a new set (nearly half the cost of the bike). What would you guys recommend - I've been looking at Aksiums & Cosmics cos the colour scheme is right
Finally, the rear wheel on the Boardman is off-set/asymmetrical ... is that something I have to consider when buying a new wheel set? Any pointers appreciated.
Oh yeah, in terms of use, if it's relavent, I only use it for 30-50mile weekly rides at the moment but I'll be upping that next year and using it for some longer organised rides.
Thanks in advance
Matt

Do you mean the rear wheel rim is asymmetric? (My RS10 rear is like that)
Doesn't matter if the replacement has a symmetrical rim; the wheel will still be dished so that the rim is central0 -
keef66 - Thanks, so there's no compatibility issue I need to worry about then?0

For a rear wheel the only thing to check is that it's got the appropriate freehub, ie Shimano or Campag type, cos if you've got a campag cassette and you buy a Shimano wheel, you're buggered, and vice versa.0
