Wadya think of these Treks?

These are in stock and available now at a shop near me.
Not quite what I set out to get but they seem to be well specced, they look great (to me anyway) and with the Reba's locked and with slicker treads they could well do me for footling around on lanes here in the Lake District. gearing looks good for all the steep hills here too.
I have added a link comparing the 6500/6700/6900 and the 6700 seems best value to me at £1200/
Good bikes?
Is the 6900 worth £200 more than the 6700 for better hubs, SLX brakes and a slightly different saddle?
Also, are Deore 596's good stoppers and would the finned SLX's be wortwhile for me bearing in mind that I will not be hurtling down hardcore trails?

All three a good bikes, all i would say is buy the best you can afford.. or get the 6500 and have £400 quid in your arse pocket!0
