Dull patches on carbon frame

So I have a very neat dull patch around the rear brake bolt; I also have similar patches around the bottle mount inserts.

Anyone seen similar or has any idea what might be going on?

    some sort of insert , giving that particular area extra strength. Not sure I've seen the like and most builders would probably go for something a little less.... obvious! Black would work well.

    It wasn't there when I got the frame, it has discoloured over time but it could be the shape of where the insert is underneath perhaps?

    Probably the black paint has worn off or faded - which is a shame.

    Could be that water is getting under the lacquer at these points and causing some discolouration?
