BB30 - Which Bearings?

I've just bought a 2011 BMC Teammachine SLR01 frameset.
Not being familiar with the BB30 bottom bracket system, can someone tell me what type of bearings I need?
I'm fitting a Shimano Ultegra cransket (6700) to the frame.
I've been told I needs an adaptor (Wheels Manufacturing BB30 adaptor for Shimano) but I'm getting a bit confused with the bearings. Also, do I need to purchase a tool to fit the bearings?
Any help would be appreciated!

you need bb30 bearings as the adaptor or a KCNC adaptor BB
standard
http://www.bb30standard.com/ to which the shimano will not go without bits.
KCNC adaptor

If using a BB30 bearing and the Wheels Mfg adaptor you need to get the bearings pressed-in using a headset press (lbs) whereas the KCNC can simply be screwed in using a pair of regular Hollowtech 2 spanners.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
