Do i require new rotors?

Hey all. I'm pretty new to mountain biking and after rushing out to Halfords to buy a Carrera Vulcan (11/12), i realized the Clarks skeletal brakes that came on it weren't really up to the job of stopping me and my excess mass!.
Iv now fitted front and back Shimano m666 SLX brakes to it which seem to be working fine but i was wondering if it would be better buying Shimano rotors, rather than leaving on the wavey ones that came with it.

if they are the correct diameter for the adaptors and calipers then there is no real need to change them as you will not see much (if any) change."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks for that, was just a bit curious as they seem to come with Shimano rotors in certain kits.0

the brakes, i think they package them with the rotors on merlin cycles.0

If you need more stopping power, go for larger rotors, not just for different ones of the same size.0

its been taken out now for a few outings and everything seems to be working fine. Might put a larger rotor on the front at some point in the future, the 180mm seems to be doing the trick though, probably because i dont ride all that fast lol.0

Your fork cannot take a rotor larger than 180mm I am afraid.0
