Hi All

Can anyone suggest a good fork bung for a carbon steerer?

I've just bought a new frame and fork and the headset that came with it has a normal star nut which I assume isn't really the way to go on carbon steerers.

Hope Head Doctor is popular and light. Like the BBB, if you want a long one - then the Deda Expander is good too.

I was in a similar position - I had a really nice headset with a carbon top cap but a star nut with it. I bought the head Doctor but it was too shallow to fit behind the stem with an uncut steerer (wanted to play with the stem height before cutting it down). So I bought the Deda.

The thread size for bung top caps are the same as for star nuts. So if you've got a cap with your headset, you can get the cheaper Deda expander which doesn't come with one - and save a couple of quid.

PS - I've still got the Head Doctor if you're interested. I'm about to put it up on the classifieds.
