RS SID RCT3 120mm 15mm Axle - change to 100mm

hello,

I want to buy SID 26" RCT3 with 15mm axle.

but version with 15mm axle is 120mm only.

Is possible change travel to 100mm? ... I have asked Czech Official dealer a they told me that it is not possible ...
It is true? ... why?

    120mm is a different fork. The 80/100 is changeable The idea bing to keep the weight down for the sorter travel fork.

    in technical manual 2011 is how to change 120mm to 100mm ( http://www.sram.com/sites/default/files ... manual.pdf ) page 14

    but I dont know if it is possible in RCT3 version. The weight is almost the same 1365 / 1385
