Kinesis Gran Fondo fork

Hi, I recently purchased Gran Fondo frame and fork. It was advertised as new. However, the fork steerer seems short. It is only 23.5cm. I like a high bar, approx 4cm spacers. The headtube is 18cm, so I will have less than 2cm when the stem is fitted. Can anyone confirm if the steerer is shorter than new. I don't want to make a fuss if the steerer is uncut.

    I cut my Grandfondo Forks down to 25cm as I like to have spare in case I sell the frame in the future, 23.5cm is cut down quite a bit, but should be fine unless you aren't very flexible.

    New forks generally come with 30cm steerer as standard - sounds like yours have been cut-down.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
