My bottom bracket keeps slowly loosening from the shell its a UN73 would it be ok to use loctite on it?

Odd that it is doing this, put yes: though may be hard to remove!

The tool slips in the spline as I tighten it.

    Its a Cyclo Shimano tool

Starting to think Cyclo are poop, so far I've rounded out a spoke key, this bb tool tends to slip out when I use it and my cone spanners aint that good either tbh.

I would try a proper tool then. Apply grease on the treads of the BB, and mount it as usual.

    Don't knacker you're UN73, they're like rocking horse poop.

Loctite plus grease is an option for threads, you don't have to just pick one. If the tool is slipping use a quick release skewer to hold it in place while you spanner it so you can tighten the shell properly.

The tool is usually harder than the BB splines - maybe the BB is knacked. But Neal_'s method works very well.
