thinking of getting an edge 800 for road cycling and training. not sure whether to get the city navigator maps or the OS maps 1/50,000 for my area (Wales and south England). I would like to be able to use the unit for hill walking navigation also (as back up) but not sure if the road mapping is as good on OS as on City Navigator. (my main use is for cycling). Anyone used both so they can compare?

I have both. The City Navigator is extremely detailed, and has every road you could ever imagine. It is bob on for road cycling. The OS mapping, for me at least, is too cluttered for use on the road, and I've stopped using it. Fine for off road, although. A bit small as a walking device, but fine as back up.0
