I cracked my Equipe rear on the side wall about 10mm, just under the spoke. Rims are available from Mavic but by the time you take into account the wheel being rebuilt it is near the same price of a new wheel. ( there are also issues with the spokes coming off the rim at the time of a rebuild i was told also )

I was was quoted £170 something for the rear to be rebuilt, but i am still rolling on it and cannot tell any difference at the moment. It may be worth looking for a new complete wheel.

I have no doubt that other posters will also offer up alternatives.

    Cheers

Yes, not cheap, got my ksyrium tour de france specials built with new rims after wearing them out, rim alone cost near £100. Try wheelroom if your local bike shop cannot help.
  • Not worth it really IMO. Get a new wheel unless you can save some cash by building the new rim/wheel yourself.
