Chainset / Press Fit BB30 misaligned

I have the 2011 Spec Epic Carbon Comp which has a 2x10 sram chainset and the Press Fit BB30 bottom bracket.
I have had an issue over the last few months with the chainset misaligning itself at the bottom bracket, what I mean is the bottom bracket will come out of the frame slightly at one side by aprox 2-3mm nearest the front of the bike, always on the drive side causing the chainset to twist out of alignment. This is not generally a major problem until the chain is on the either small ring on cassette and crankset which can causes the chain to catch on 2 lugs on the inside of the large chainring; Under torque this has caused the chain to snap. Obviously I am extreemly worried that it may also be causing damage to the frame.

I noticed it a few months back and first time stripped the crankset and BB then refitted, ok for a week or two then back again, I have realigned 3 times now but still the same issue. I have spoken with the LBS but they have not had a lot of experience with the PF BB30 on the new Epic.

Has anyone come across the same issue with their crankset??

Is pretty obvious that the interference fit of the two units is not ideal ie the BB is undersized, or the frame is oversized. I would not ride until is sorted.

You need to get it sorted asap the more times you ride it the worse the problem will become and you will end up trashing your frame, to me it sounds like something is missing as when all these systems are correctly fitted there shouldn't be any way for the bearing to come out of the frame as the whole setup is retained when you tighten your crankbolt and the assembly is pinched together, get it to a bike shop to be looked at preferably specialized dealer.

Indeed, 2 issues, 1 the preload means it just shouldn't be able to do that, second the fit means it just shouldn't try and do that anyway, get it back to where you bought it and get them to fix it or warranty claim as appropriate!

Cheers for your assistance to my post
I have had the bike back in to the supplying Spech dealer this weekend and they have advised me to put in a new Bottom bracket as the drive side bearings have some play in them. They say the frame is undameged and are quite confident this should resolve the issues I have had with the twisting chainset.
I will fit a new PF BB30 and give it a whirl.

    Cheers
