Hey guys, i'm thinking of buying my first full-sus bike for around £1200 but am unsure what to go for. I am considering either a giant trance x4 or a trek fuel ex 5. Any other suggestions would be very helpful, or if anyone has either of these bikes feedback would be great.

What type of riding do you do? Any chance you can test them?0

I generally ride on the south downs or local trail centers but occasionally go up to the lake district or north wales.0

I'd take a look at the Boardman FS series too.0

I have just purchased the 08 model (small only) . Its a great bike, with a brilliant spec for the money.----

There are plenty of decent deals on 2010 models too.
I've seen the Spec Camber Comp down from £1250 to under £1000 - very nice bike and ripe for upgrading (I would say that as I have one and really like it).
Pretty sure I've seen a Zesty 214 for not much more than your budget too - cant remember where (not much help sorry!)When you hear hoofbeats, think of horses, not zebras.0 -
I'm in the market for a 2011 Boardman Team FS (£1000) and have asked the question on here plus done quite a bit of research. Doesn't seem like anyone has a bad word to say!!!... I want a Lapierre Zesty 314 but can't justify £2200 (yet)It's better to burn out than to fade away!!0
