On the rear you don't really need anything bigger than 180mm.

and some frames will not take bigger than 160mm.

A disk rotor? A disk disc? Eh? :?
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
  • I am going to Get a Dartmoor hornet frame.

the Athertons use 203mm rotors. lol!

How do i know the frame's Max Rotor size?

Who cares what they use - they tune their bikes to what they are racing.

You ask where you buy a frame from what the max rear rotor size is if they do not state.

In the normal real world you don't need more than a 180 rear, esp if using Saints. 160 or 140mm all the way.

Steve Peat sometimes uses a 140mm rear rotor - and he has won more races than all the Athertons put together! And he is heavier ;-)

What do you weigh? What bike? How do you ride?

    180. Bigger rotors look cooler.

I had 203mm rotors with xt claipers on my old bike, the back brake was awesome but i alwyas felt the front was abit wet in comparison and nowhere near the same level of power.

A shimano Saint rear brake wont have that problem though but i would still fit a big rotor if it was me.
  • 203mm on the rear on saints is too much, all you end up doing is locking up all the time

Saints are brutal. 160mm will be more than enough or you will be constantly locking up.
I found 203 too big on the back with my old juicy sevens & I weigh 16 stone, 180 works best for me.
