Replacing Ultegra name plate

Anyone know how to replace the name plate on Ultegra 6600 levers?
I can see the screw holding it on but can't get to it as it's partly covered by the rest of the lever body. Don't want to rush into taking the lever apart in case I end up with a box of bits.
Have searched about but can't find anything.

Pull the lever as though you're breaking, then unscrew it.

Didn't twig as levers are jammed following a crash.It doesn't get any easier, but I don't appear to be getting any faster.0
