fork upgrades, HELP!!

Hello guys
New to the bike scene and only just started riding a couple of months ago. I brought an entery level bike just to start me off (GT AVALANCHE 3.0 DISC Hydro) Im not happy with the heavy sun tour forks and was thinking of buying new one's but not sure what size will fit that frame? im pretty sure it's 1 1/8 but dont want to buy one and it not fit.

1 1/8th steerer, threadless is correct. If buying 2nd hand, make sure the steerer is long enough.0
