Armstrong Moth Restoration
My friend is restoring his late Father's Armstrong Moth. Having got the frame shot blasted and powder coated, he noticed that the crank threads had been damaged in the blasting process. I have advised him not to do anything too hasty until some questions have been asked from other restorers in the know. Can anybody offer any helpful advice or information on tap sizes or recommended repairs? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you! :?

A decent LBS or frame restoration specialist should be your port of call.
I`ve no idea what an Armstrong Moth is worth, or even if it`s collectable, but it wasn`t powder-coated when new, but in all probability painted / enamelled, then I`d imagine your friend has ruined it as a proper restoration worth anything in the futureJens says "Shut up legs !! "

Try AW Cycles in Reading, Rikki, their mechanic has restored many classic bikes so might be able to assist.0
