should I be able to use my 26" SID fork that came with an 80mm limiter with a 29" wheel instead of a P2 29er fork? the head andle on the kona unit is quite slack, so even if it was a bit shorter (could not find a site with fork lengths?) would be ok and by my calcs 20mm should offset the wheel size for smaller diameter tyres, like the furious fred I am running at the moment??? any ideas?

nope as it shortens the fork as well as reducing the travel.
