it will be a metric one. Length ? what ever siye it comes as.

  • The fixing bolt head is at the base of the staunchion, so i cant readily use standard allen keys. They need to at least be the length of the stancheon. Is there a standard length?

Dont really want to buy a set of super long allen keys when I only need one.. Undoing fixing nut rotates the fixing bolt so i need the correct allen key to get the damn thing off.

Looking at the exploded diagram, I don't think that you'll need any unusually long socket tools.

The pressure from the preloaded spring will hold the rod in place enough for you to bolt and unbolt it.
  • One side has no spring in it, this is the one i canu unto when i rotate the fixing nut at the bottom it rotates the bolt too. i cant find a 30cm hex key so am going to get socket extenders
