Replacement tyres for Mythos XC 26 x 1.95

First post. so bear with my question please.

Time now to replace the tyres on my 1997 Marin Palisades Trail that was suppied with different tread pattern on the rear tyre.
Suggestions?
Can't see too many 1.95 tyres so will 2.0 or 2.1 fit?

Very likely yes, especially in the frame, but what fork do you have?

Thank you. Forks are RST 381R, 3.0" travel with V brakes.

Bike is original. 2.1 looks a possible fit but question seeks suggestions on make/tread pattern/material.

Usual routes are 1/3 road and 2/3 grass/loose stone trails. Kevlar?

Depends where you ride it. I've got some Kenda nevegal 2.1, can't blame it, it is a good all-round tyre, has great sticion to road too, but has a bit high rolling resistance.

I have just got some Continental X-King's to replace my old semi-slick IRC's. Superb tyres, fast rolling and a good all-rounder. Available in 2.0 size.
