Good morning all,

I own a set of hope mono mini brakes and am in the process of changing my fork to a rock shox dart 3. I believe the fork is a 74mm post mount and the brakes i think are IS mount with a disc around 180mm.

Would this adapter work?

Thanks for any help you can offer

Mike

That mount is for a Post mount caliper on a IS mount fork

If your caliper is IS mount and your fork 74mm Post mount youll need one of these and a 20mm larger rotor. 200/203/205mm

  • Oh ok, I see what you mean. Thanks for that, is there no adaptor available that would allow me to keep my current disc. Clearly they do not sell one at CRC but is there some being made or do are they just not made?

Thanks again for any help given

Unfortunately there isn't, the space taken up by the adapter adds 10mm to the calliper so needs a 20mm bigger disc only other way would be to change your calliper to a 160mm one which might cost more than a new disc unless you can get a swap.

If you have a No.3 caliper (185mm) you would need a
    No.5 caliper which is 165mm but with the +20mm adapter = 185mm.

Which i believe is IS whereas i think post mount is at 90 degrees to this? thats my understanding of it?

that is a Post mount caliper with an adaptor on an IS mount fork.

so you need a Post to Post 180mm adaptor (10mm of spacers and longer bolts).
  • Ok, i am starting to confuse myself, and others i believe, so I apologise and will take a picture of my brake when i get home and allow you to have a look and tell me what i actually have.

Sorry for messing people around and thanks for all the help given
