replacing Spesh FSR bearings

I have the tedious task of rebuilding the rear end of my Spesh FSR XC and I would appreciate it if you lovely forum dwellers could resolve one question......
To grease or not to grease....?
I have been given conflicting advice that greasing the bearings will keep water out and they will run smoother for longer, but also that greasing will attract grit and dust, wearing them out quicker.

Whatever Spesh say ;-). Do you still have the manual? If not, contact Spesh UK.0

Considering they are sealed bearings, grease on the outside should make no difference. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

If you were rebuilding the rear end you would be replacing the bearings and they are sealed so do not require any grease.0
