hi folks
ive just got myself a felt virtue sport 2011 model to replace my 2010 ghost asx 5500
the virtue comes with the tora fork with the tapered steerer
the ghost which is only 10 months old came with a recon with the standard straight steerer
i want to swap the forks over as the ghost is now my dads and the tora fork is adequate for him but id like the recon on my virtue
so my question is how/is it possible to swap the forks over using adaptive headsets and if so which head sets
any links to make this process idiot proof and id be very grateful
heres the link to the virtue spec

all i can find for the ghost is that its a ritchey headset
and is fitted with a 2010 rockshox recon sl air

thanks in advance

you need to change the headsets to suitable ones.
and it may not work for both bikes."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

i know i need to change just what to?
i know its easy to fit the recon to the tapered virtue but struggling to fit the tapered steerer tora to the non tapered ghost0 -
You need to find out what headset standards your bikes have. Pretty sure the Ghost will not take a tapered steerer.0

ok, as i suspected im going to have to buy a new fork, shame when i have a fork i love on one bike (now my dads) and my dads more than happy to have the new tora.
will see if i can pick up a bargain fork at the cycleshow on sunday for him then just get the adaptive headset to fit the recon on to the felt then sell the tapered tora.
cheers0 -
You can upgrade the Tora - air spring, moco damper.0

is all i need to know in there?
thanks again for your time0 -
Different fork - you are best off going to Fisher Outdoor, or phoning them for parts details. Pretty sure the air cart will fit, the damper should too.0
