Hi all,
I've been looking at a website and i'm THIS close to buying a GT Avalanche 1.0.
However on the website I'm looking at, it seems it comes with the following:
1. The front derailleur is: Shimano Alivio, FD-M590 (however, FD-M590 is deore, so I think this is a typo?)
2. The chainset is a Shimano Alivio
On every other website and review etc, the following is stated:
1. The Front Derailleur is a Shimano Deore
2. The chainset is a Shimano M442 (which is a Deore)
The website I'm dealing with cannot confirm the specs. Should I order and risk it or should I forego..? (It's a very significant saving)

590 is deore. 442 is non series, but about Alivio level. Alivio works very well anyway.0

I did email and they could confirm that it was Alivio, someone else on the forum also bought the bike and he did say the chainset was non-branded (which I presume supersonic was on about it being Shimano non series) and the front is an Alivio.
When and if the front breaks / starts degrading I'll upgrade the front.
I should hopefully be the proud owner of a GT 1.0 Avalanche 2011 Disc for £406
If anyone wants to know, I ordered it from Wiggle. Their prices far offset the other components offered elsewhere.
Lets hope they don't Wiggle me0
