    Too much light?
    What?
  • More like 300-400. You need about 3-4 Cree LEDs to put out more than 800.

That has a single emitter (albeit a quad core one, but still).
  • I've got one from deal extreme. It's much brighter than my P7 touch, so I'm guessing that it is about 8/900 lms. More than enough light for off road riding.

    Rubbish..

Its a CREE XML T6 - which is a single core, max output at 3 Amp is 1000 Lumen. That light probably runs at 2.4A which is about 750-800 OTF Lumen.

Available here for a few quid less

There is a Serfas 1500 lumen light about, the rep showed it last week. Three emitters, internal battery. We took it to our stockroom basement and turned out the 6 striplights. This light was brighter than the striplights! Awesome for £250 or less!
