Depends which year it is. You'd probably be looking around 30lbs though at a guess.
Possibly try calling the number at the bottom of this page. They may be able to help.0 -
Its a 2010 I did email the company selling it but they say they werent supplied the info by Marin which isnt particularly helpful!0

Give ATB a shout then buddy, might have more luck that way
Alternatively, just get it.. if it's a good deal, and has the amount of travel you want, you can't go wrong. I have a Specialized Enduro, which isn't far from 30lbs, and can happily ride it all day on an XC ride if needed
If you are worried about weight that much, then is a 150/160mm AM bike really the right bike for you?0 -
I got one of these http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... 7-09-34045 which is very nearly the same bike.
Yes it is a little heavy compaired to other full sus bikes but it is much tougher and near the top of the AM bike range. You might be a little slower on the way up but you'll make that up coming back down. It is a really fun bike to ride and can be ridden all day.0 -
For the type of bike they are not heavy (don't know the weight but have ridden one).
Great bikes.I don't do smileys.

The 6.7 is arround 30lbs as above, the 6.8 and 6.9 less than 30lbs which is great for this style of bike. At the end of the day weight is in a way not important it's all about how efficient the bike delivers its travel and pedling efficiency..you can have a light bike that peddles terrible and visaversa....I had the mount vision and it was a tremendous bike.....the one question I would ask myself is a "bargain" is only a "bargain" is you really need it.....if you need 150mm travel then buy it...if not buy a mount vision or a whyte E 1200

Cheers guys, I think (money permitting) I will get it, I dont have the need for a long travel yet as only just got back into mounting biking 6 months ago but have already got a Giant Talon Hardtail and a Giant Yukon FX3 full sus which are fine on local trails but I intend on biking more at some of the trail centres so will def have the need for a longer travel bike soon.0

120mm travel is more than enough for trail centres.
I have got a Giant Reign X which has 170mm travel but is extremely efficient & I really don't notice that it's 32lb when I ride XC on it. My Trance X is ideal for trail centres & much better cross country than the Reign X.
To get the most out of the Reign I have to really push it on DH trails, on trail centre stuff it just flattens out everything, makes it all too easy & takes away a lot of the fun.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Thanks Rockmonkey my Giant full sus is only 100mm travel F&R which is why Im considering something with a bit more travel I do like the Giants, the other alternative is the Trance X4 but I think the deal with the Marin is too good to miss as its like 1/2 price at £9990

The Trance will be better for what you want. You could always go for a used Trance. There are a couple of 2010 Trance X3's in the classifieds including mine (not enough room to keep it).
The Marin is only a good deal if it's the best bike for what you want. I looked at getting the Marin Quake before I got my Reign X and there are some great deals on them as well but if you read the reviews you find out why they are so cheap now.
If you already have a full sus Giant you will know how good they are, I have tried plenty of others & to me nothing is as good or as well made.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I have owned an '08 trance, handled well - 120mm forks on there and just over 100mm on rear. Ok for trail centres and general xc. Good pedal platform, Poor bearings as excess wear within 1year.
Marin attack trail 6.7 '10, recently got one of these in medium - great bike, solid and loads of travel. not notice weight which is approx 31lbs.Wheels and brakes upgrade in due course, otherwise great bike. Especially good when loaded into berms, grip is superb.0 -
The newer Trance X has 127mm rear travel, feels bottomless & my bearings are perfect after a years riding. Trance X has different bearings to the earlier TranceTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Thanks Rockmonkey, I do like Giants so am tempted to stick with them (that will be 3 that I have then!) The Trance X4 won trail bike of the year in MBR so am tempted and yes you are right the travel is 127mm just worried that as my skills etc improve that I will need to upgrade again to something longer travel in time.
IMO there is no better bike manufacturer than Giant0 -
I have just replaced mmy Trance X with a Reign X but then I want a bike that will do DH racing as well as XC. The Trance is a seriously good trail bike & if you want to slacken it up & get a bit more travel you can fit 140mm forks which from what I have heard turns it in to a properly good gravity play bike which is still good for XC if you have U-turn.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

If it's the Attack Trail from Winstanleys then I have one and what a machine it is.
A light weight it is not; however you don't notice it when you're riding. It climbs much better than it should, I can't feel much bob. Then point it downhill  more fun than you can shake a stick at.
My girlfriend took it for her first spin round Grizedale today, she loved it too and won't give me it backWhat We Achieve In Life, Echoes In Eternity0 -
Hi Torres yes that is the one, seems like a really good deal so think I may well get it providing they still have some smalls left in 2-3 weeks time!0

Its a brilliant deal; the frame alone is worth more than that (if Marin did a frame only option.)
I can't wait to give mine a good thrash tomorow morning (i managed to liberate it from the mrs )What We Achieve In Life, Echoes In Eternity0
