Buying Oakleys in New York

I am planning to get a pair of Oakleys in NY in the hope that they will be a bit cheaper than in the UK. Can anyone recommend a shop that would stock Radars with a decent selection of lenses? I know there are Oakley stores there, but imagine you'd be able to get cheaper elsewhere.
Grateful for any advice.

Cheaper in NY? Good luck. Wait for the airport in the way home, or indeed on the way there since there'd be no VAT.The only disability in life is a poor attitude.0

I would stay clear of the airport, they are cheaper than paying full retail in the uk, but if you shop around while in the states you can save loads, I would look for a sunglasses hut they are normally cheaper than the airport and have a good selection of lenses and glasses0

Is it in NYC? Is there an outlet store across the river? Look on Oakleys site and see where their dealers are located or google for Oakley. Remember that your price will still be in $ so cheaper anyway. I got some Oakley stuff last time i was in the US (Boston). Emailed the dealer, paid the bill and collected it when I got there.

I got some crosshairs from the sunglasses hut in la, still loads cheaper than the airport or over here, huge range too. Would have thought New York would be similar.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

I bought some in 2010 in NYC and they were no cheaper than over here.0

Thanks all - I did have a quick look at the sunglasses hut website, but prices didn't seem significantly cheaper than UK so wondered if anyone knew of an independent shop that might be cheaper. I guess I shouldn't expect too much of a bargain based on comments received!0

A few of the "brand" manufacturers appear to have levelled the price playing field on a global basis. Apple, Ralph Lauren, Oakley all appear to have done so.
I used to travel globally for three weeks a month and could pick up bargains everywhere. Sadly the bargains mostly stopped two years ago. Places like Dubai were a joy to travel to, however, prices there as of 18 mos ago (when my travel stopped) for electronic goods and "designer" clothing were more expensive than London.
Don't know about the far east pricing though.0 -
There is an Oakley Shop in SoHo
I bought my Bottlecaps there in 2009
I wouldn't say they were much cheaper, but it depends on the exchange rate , which was crap in 2009.
Its a nice shop and has the full selectionRichard
