Firstly the reason for Hopes is that I can run my 9mm through axle and they get decent reviews.
Use is racing plus training, Thetford, Epping, around the local fields, mainly east of England. They might see a trail park once or twice a year but I don't do jumps. Judging by by race results I don't really do that either.
Do I go for the Pro2, Pro2 SP or Pro3 SP6? Rims will be Crest.
Currently my weight is a porky and I'm up around the 85kg limit for the Pro3's but it's coming down. I'm usualy stay around 75-76kg. Had quite of time off with back problems and took up going to the pub instead of cycling.
Cheers.

I can't speak for anything other than the pro2s, but I have found them to be quite high resistance compared to the equiv. shimano hubs. For me it doesn't cause a problem as I like the sturdy build, but someone racing might find a free-er running hub is preferable.0

ive got a set of pro 3s on crests. BANGIN! there really really good, have coped well with everything ive thrown at them so far, mind im a light guy headin in at 60kg my riding is flat out light XC and they do well in that but i also do alot of red/black route stuff on them too and they have done really well especially considering i do it all on an XC hard tail when nearlly all the guys on the trails have 140mm+ full sus bikes and i keep up just as fast haha but yeh they have had a fair few wacks from plowing into a root or rock/whatever and they have done very well. i just went for pro 3s because it wasnt that much more than a pro 2 hub so though well since im gonna keep these for a very long time moving from bike to bike its worth the investment so might as well. now running tubless with a set of racing r's and is very nice indeed!0

I love my pro2's too.. you do hear about some of the hubs cracking, but I think was a bad batch. Had mine for 2 years, with a few services, they still run as smoothly as the day I got them0
