Just discovered I have broken a spoke on the non-drive side of my rear Fulcrum Racing 7s. Have tried a few places but it seems such spokes are an unusual request! Anywhere I can buy them on line with a simple mouse click? Happy to buy the set if that is what it takes.

  • Just looked at my Racing 7s and the spokes just look like a normal spokes. Its only the Fulcrum 1 and zero that have special spokes.
  • Thanks for the reply. I thought the length, thread, thickness etc might be non-standard? If this isn't the case what spec of spoke would do the job?
  • Does it look like these?

or can you describe it? straight pull or j-bend? bladed or double butted? silver or black?

We have a good selection of J-bend bladed and double butted. Straight pulls are harder to source, especially singles.

  • Just had a look at the spokes more closely and seen the definitions and descriptions on the Strada website. It looks like my Fulcrum 7s are very standard. They are black, j-bend, neither bladed or double-butted. They measure around 270mm (though that was the measurement for the one with half the thread missing.

Though I can change bottom brackets and headsets wheel building is still a black art to me (though that will change oh yes)
  • contact i-ride.co.uk the uk distributor for fulcrum. simples.
  • Nice one HadronCyclist!

Contacted i-ride and they gave me the code of the mini spoke kit I needed. After a bit more messing around discovered that I can actually buy the thing off them directly online. No need to do through a stockist.
