Guess who wins again. 24 and counting?

Still obviously got great form with the Worlds and Lombardy still to come...

It was his 18th win of the season.

It's almost become routine now, if there's an uphill finish he'll win.
  • Ah, ok. Wasn't sure, it was the OPL twitter that mentioned 24. Probably depends on which races you're counting.

Has he been called the new Eddy Merckx yet?

They are including criteriums I think. The 18 wins are in UCI categorised races.

I thought Edward Biggles Holden was the new Eddy Merckx?
  • I think he should have negative odds on winning - if you're going to bet on him winning, it's such a safe bet that you only get half your money back when he does.
  • Impressive, how does he continue to do this?

I remember these wins used to be by the domain of Piepoli/Bettini/Rebellin/Bartoli/small spanaird-type riders.

I like how Freire is showing himself a bit in anticipation of the big show.
    When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.
  • A nice result for AG2R stagiere Yannick Martinez (of that cycling family) in 34th, following some other good showings.
