Newbie on here, as of 2 mins ago.

I decided after years of buying bikes that I'd decide to build my own, so I have bought a carbon fibre frame and forks, I obviously need to marry the two together with a headset.

I need to find a decent site where I can look for 1/18" to 1/14" headset, I can only seem to find non-tapered types.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Iain.

    err.....you sure about those dimensions?
    what frame/fork is it?
most tapered headsets are 1&1/2 to 1&1/8, like...

double check your sizes and/or post the link to your frame/forks.

  • Headset-Top: 1-1/8"
    Headset-down: 1-1/4"

Totally sure, those are the dimensions supplied and I have measured them. I have seen some with 1*1/4" bottom, but not with the top to suit.

  • Go to your lbs, they should be able to get a cane creek or hope to fit.
  • Trying to get another link to it.

thaks ride_whenever, I will give em a whirl at the weekend, just surfing before I go in.

Google an "FSA Orbit C-33" - that's the right diameters - provided the headtube doesn't use internal cups and takes 45 degree angular bearings.

You might want to confirm that with the supplier.
  • Another "Made in China" import then :o
  • Cheers Goose, I'll have a look.

It is an import, but Honk Kong, shipped through China :)

Hong Kong is part of China, hadn't you heard? An odd sized headset that'll be difficult to get - I'd buy several if you find one that fits!
  • Correct, I did know, I was just pointing out that it was from Hong Kong and not 'Mainland' China. I have found a few headsets, but need to go and speak with my lbs before proceeding with purchase.

    Happy with F&F?
Is it a 'Chinarello' or a PX/Ribble clone
    or does it look, distinctive?
