A work colleague of mine has just come back from a holiday in Turkey, FFS, is he whinging or what, it was too hot at 40+ every day, the food was crap, the service was abysmal, the transfer was late, blah blah blah..

how much did he pay you ask, 400 whole English pounds.. for him AND HIS WIFE.. FFS what did he expect of a 3* place in a near 3rd world country!

Now I'll look for a bargain as much as the next person, but come on, you pay for what you get, oh yeah, then he found out that he could have got the hotel cheaper if he booked direct, £10 a night apparently!

I've a good mind to shove a lime where it don't shine to shut him the hell up!

    just like a guy i work with who's band got booked to play a rock festival in ibiza, him and his missus (and all the other band members and their other halves) got a week's free holiday, but then he moaned that he had to buy his own food and drink and he spent £300 of his own money!!!!

    Remind him that if he at least made it back home without being murdered/raped/kidnapped/sold into slavery then that's a win for a Turkish holiday.

    You usually get what you pay for - how many people just don't get it? I love it when people boast about how cheap they got their holidays but they're usually a bit vague when you ask them how their holiday was afterwards.
