Getting Specialized bike repaired/refurbed
Hello,
I'm looking to get minor damage repaired on my bike like stone chips to the carbon and small scratches. Where can I get this done for my Specialized bike? I would like to go to the dealer but don't think I can so I'm not sure who to turn to for this one.
Thanks,
Carl

You can either DIY with touch-up paint / clear lacquer or get the frame resprayed. Cost for the latter will be in the region of £150 plus depending on the complexity of the finish / transfers etc.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Ok, well I'm putting it on the insurance anyway to get it done properly.
Does anyone know any good places around the M25?

getting a full respray seems a bit OTT for a few stone chips - why bother...?
The most helpful thing I can suggest is simply not to worry about it and carry on riding...0 -

+1 you bought it to ride not look at. It's not like the sponsors are at the side of the road watching you.The only disability in life is a poor attitude.0 -

You have insurance that pays out for paint chips?0 -
...and presumably an excess to pay on any claim made?0

No excess and I am getting parts repaired on the bike if I feel they need repairing? I don't see the problem.I'm cycling 300 miles to Amsterdam on 15th -18th September to raise £1,200 for SCOPE. If you would like to sponsor me, please visit my blog http://www.carl2amsterdam.com0

I guess I'm just confused as to why your insurance would pay out for minor damage like that - especially without any excess.0
