Morning fweaks

It's Sunday, watching Ireland beat the USA, wish I was out riding, unfortunately we're having a family get together at my aunts. Bugger. I'm now not going to see my bikes again until Friday and I'm not a happy birdy.

In other news I've decided this week I need to spend some money, need some new flat shoes, some new goggles, new XC lid and a new HDMI cable after I destroyed one yesterday

    Morning cockjanglers......

Well it's a morning of shopping for handbags with the wife for her birthday....oh the joy :(

Fingers crossed after seeing one in the first shop she liked and after 3 hours and 100 + other bags we will return to the first shop....fingers crossed I may get some F1 in....

  • Meh'ning homos!
The fact that it's actually armageddon outside put an end to my plans for a big E2E training ride. Don't much fancy the thought of trying to ride over those hilltops in torrential downpours and a 40mph headwind. Also it's sunday, so MTFU is is short supply.

All is not lost though, went to the Gym for the first time in years.

Now for a cuppa, and into the mancave for some fettling.
  • meh.

might crawl out of bed and go take care of a friend.

    squeeze bike ride in

    Morning gits & gitettes,

Lazy morning so far, ended up watching a few episodes of Father Ted after the footy last night so got to bed late when I was already a bit knackered. Am hoping to catch the F1 but suspect I will get roped into other stuff.

A cheeky bike ride might get fitted in later in the day, hopefully before it gets dark otherwise it'll have to be a road ride. The twots that haven't delivered my bike lights are going to get an earful tomorrow !

GP and Cannock today, even if the weather's crap, I've fitted a Fender Bender mudguard to the rear of the FS bike, let's see if it works!

Whilst trawling through emails this morning, I see On-One are developing a "Fat Bike", I do like it...

No pricing or release date yet, but, yes it could well be my next project I believe...

What would be the point of that unless you're planning to ride on snow or sand? (Seem to rmember some bike mag with an article on an artic bike race featuring mega fat tyred bikes).

good lord no, that bike is utterly cuntish, sideways, big sticks no messtins obviously and necessarily.

no doubt there wil be talk about the suspension properties of the fat tres for normal trail riding and whatnot (just so it suckers the people who wouldnt want a beach or snow bike which must be the only real reason for a bike like that) whilst forgetting the best way to get some spring into your ride is to use some suspension.

all in the name of selling shitt bikes to people who fall for it.

the folk at on one will be pissing their pants everytiome they box up one of those bikes

^this x potato. Almost as bad as the jeff jones monstrosity. Just use your normal bike with huge tyres and very low pressure for sand and snow. The inbred works amazingly well with 2.4 mountain kings at 20psi on the dunes.

Oh and thanks to a blind old lady in Frinton my new Skoda lasted less than 48hrs. 'oh I'm
so sorry I couldn't remember which pedal to push'. Oh ffs, you've got a Volvo auto barge, one for stop, one for go you thick old c**t. Still 4 people all claiming for personal injury should bring in a few quid.
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

    Who are you calling inbred?
