I have owned my Gran Fondo since early 2010 and I still love the bike.

A few months ago the paintwork started to develop white spots here and there, then they started growing in numbers and size. It became apparent the laquer was coming away from the paintwork.

I sent a document to Ribble with some pictures and described what I thought the problem was, they wanted to see the bike so as I live fairly local I went over to see them.
They looked at the bike and agreed there was a fault and that they would replace the F/F.
This is even though the bike is now getting on for being 18months old.

They took the bike off me and a week later I have just colelcted it with a shiny new F/F. :D It now has the new aero forks and tapered headset - very swish.

Excellent service from Ribble who were clearly prepaired to stand by their product, also big thanks to Kris and Matt who took care of me, great bunch of chaps.

  • Sounds like a good experience, different to those who can't visit the shop themselves but have to ring.

I would agree, communication isnt their strongest point, it takes probably a day or two to get a reply to an email.
I havent had any issue with ringing them though, just keep trying.

I guess it paints a bad picture when in reality they are a good bunch of people.
  • on a side note, is it me or do their bikes just look so much better than other manufacturers? every time i open cycling magazine the pics in there look fantastic. Are they as pretty in reality?
