Hi guys,

What diameter mech clamp do you need for the chinese frames such as the RB002, and are they clamp on?

Thanks

  • Its a clamp on - 34.9mm which is the most common size for carbon frames on the Carbonzone RB002 (FM028 as its otherwise known)

I've got one here to build up with SRAM Force myself. Have you got your frame yet??

Thanks, Not yet a planning on getting one in time for next years race season.
  • Gotcha. Well the RB002 is more commonly known as the FM028 and is one of two very commonly sold carbon frames from China from a number of suppliers.

If you're after a race bike then you might also want to consider the FM015 which is very slightly stiffer and more "race". Depends on your preference really - i went for the FM028 as a winter / commuting bike with the ever so slightly more relaxed geometry, but have a more race orientated bike for Sunday best. There's plenty of info out there anyway - including full dimensions and geometry.

If you need any more info then feel free to get in touch.

Hi thanks for the information, problem with the FM015 is ISP and as we're still growing we need adjustments every couple of months. This is the one I'm planning on getting:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-3k-full-C ... 2565eb92ae

Which I believe to be more aggresive geo than the FM028 as the HT is the same size as a 54, though its a 55.
  • They do both ISP and non-ISP in both frames. I've got an RB002 with the ISP - but have recently had a full professional fitting and am happy with it so comfortable with the ISP. That frame listed looks similar but subtley different. Either way they are cracking frames for the money!!
