Which rear shock?

Hi everyone
I would like some help with which shock to buy for my Orange Patriot 66 (05/06).
Firstly does anyone know what eye to eye and stroke length for my bike????
I think I have narrowed my choice to a Fox DHX 3 air or DHX 5 air. What are your experiences with these shocks?
I currently have a Manitou Swinger coil shock fitted that works great on hard hits but can be a nightmare on the ups. I mainly ride singletrack / AM with some DH. For anyone who knows the area, my fave rides are around Ladybower in the peaks, the Cutgate being one of the best.
Not into massive jumps and drops but will do some, and like to go hard and fast on the rough downs, but I also need something I can peddle with. I'm not a tinkerer and won't really be playing with settings, I just like to get on and ride. I'm not a weight weener either, if its heavier it makes you fitter.
I heard some bad reviews on the DHX for heavier people, I am about 5'9" and weigh just under 12st so don't see this as a problem for me.
If anyone has any other suggestions for alternatives, I would love to hear them.
Oh and I am looking to spend up to £200 for a used shock

Wasn't sure exactly what to measure. I am fairly new to MTBin n only had the patriot a few months. I used to ride mx so like goin fast n hard n do know enough to get by with MTBs just not up on suspension.0

The Orange website should have these measurements in the tech section.0

Been all through the website & can't find anything. I think I will just ring the factory for specs.
Would still like to hear some thoughts on which would suit best and experiences with dhx 3 air, 5 air and maybe even RP23. I am open to suggestion on any other good all round shocks?????0 -
