I was wondering how long will a carbon frame last?

infinitely variable possibilities i think , there are frames that snap under heavy race use and ones that don't , i have friends that have carbon frames that are nearly 20 years old now and are still going strong (ish).

i am building myself up a carbon budget racer , but i have never found anything as good as steel for taking harsh use , neglect ( not by me ) and the ability to survive after crashes , even if the crank bent and bars snapped etc .

so back to your original question , a piece of string is twice as long as 2 halves.

    cheers tim

They'll last for ever as long as you avoid direct sunlight and heavy rain!

But it will last longer than aluminium thats for sure.
